How do I earn Internship Credit?

  • Register for the semester-long class worth (.5) credit for high school, requiring 40 internship hours per semester.
  • Must be a Junior or Senior


What is required for Internship Credit?

  • They must apply for the next semester, at the end of the current semester
  • Achieving 40 internship hours/semester per .5 credit
    Finishing the required coursework
  • Building and developing a work portfolio


How do I find an Internship?

  • Students typically set up their own internships because this helps both you and the a business mentor decide if the internship will be a good fit.

Course  Discription

CTE Internships provide on the job training opportunities that are related directly to coursework, a career goal, and course of study identified through the College and Career Readiness plan. This Work-Based Learning experience is considered a completer level pathway course and is designed to bridge the gap between school and career. Appropriate supervision by a school/district coordinator must be maintained.
