Program Description
Family and Consumer Studies (FCS) is an interdisciplinary department where faculty and students examine how the social, economic, political, and physical environments affect families, individuals, and consumers. The teaching, research, and service done in the department focuses on expanding understanding of how the welfare of individuals, families and communities are affected by external and internal forces.

FCCLA - Family, Career and Community Leaders of America
Many leadership opportunities are available for those who actively participate in FCCLA. We participate in homecoming activities. We are in charge of the annual Preferred Man Week and Preference Dance. We sell roses during FCCLA Week in February. We compete at region competition in Jan/Feb and state competition in March/April. Those who qualify can also attend the National Leadership Conference that is held in July.
